Carolyn’s Family History Site

It must be some 35 years since my father started to research our Retallick family roots. Anyone who has done something similar knows that these things tend to become not only compulsive but endless. In his research he assembled a large amount of information from parish records, indexes, marriage registers etc and other records available in Cornwall and Devon.  Sadly My father passed away in December 2004.  In the years since, the growth in online genealogical research has been exponential and so much information is available to the armchair genealogist. I, myself, became interested in family history quite a few years ago and have amassed even more information on both my paternal (Retallick) side and maternal (Stevens).  I am updating his site to reflect the new technology, but also to add my mother’s side of the family.  Therefore it will look and feel quite different, but I hope to have many of his resources up and running once again plus the bits and pieces I have managed to dig up, myself.  Please bear with me as I learn how it all works (a very steep learning curve).
